Nursery update

We are 32 weeks along!! I can't believe how fast everything is going.
We went to the doctor today and the baby's heartbeat was 138 and measuring right at 32. It's been so fun watching this babe grow. I have a hard time believing I can actually get bigger than I already am.

We have made some great progress on the baby's room. We went from blue to a beautiful peach color. Tom worked incredibly hard last weekend to get the walls plastered and evened out. He thinks I'm a little particular when it comes to painting (and I might be). He was such a trooper to make it look so good. We also got the crib all set up. It looks adorable in the room. We can wait for our new roomie to move in!

On a different note, my sister is finally home from her year in Germany! She's been amazed at the slight {haha} transformation my belly has made since I last saw her. We dressed up for our cousin's 30th birthday over the weekend.
We are all happy she is finally home! She can start mowing all the lawns again. I was happy to pass that job back to her. Welcome home Katie!!

Tom and the Belly

Tom and I went to our 4th of 5 birth classes last night. Tom got the privilege of getting a small taste of what pregnant women go through everyday. He got to wear the sympathy belly and attempt to lay down and get back up. Now he knows why the bed feels like a trampoline every time I try to turn over (which has to be 20 times a night). My favorite part was when I asked him to act like he was painting his toes or shaving his legs...not so easy now, huh?

Baby Shower

"It's not what we have in life, but who we have in our life that matters."

My co-workers threw a shower for Baby Joerger last night. It was so wonderful to see these ladies and catch up on our summers. I was completely amazed at their generosity. My last two years at Sacred Heart impacted my life more than I thought it would. I met some of the hardest working and most caring people. I will truly miss working with these amazing people.

How cute are baby bags!?

Tom came home from Houston last night and was more interested in checking up on his garden than looking at all our cute new baby stuff. The corn is taller than us!!! Can't wait to try it!

We are 30 weeks and 3 days!

I went to the doctor this morning. Everything is right on schedule. Baby is measuring right at 30. I just got my first pair of maternity shorts and have been rocking those babies. {Thanks Mom!}

Nursery Renovation

We {Tom} started our nursery room renovation last night. We finally picked out a crib, which is sitting in pieces in our front room. The room was a really pretty blue color but I felt like it needed to be more neutral since we could come home with a little girl. After many, many discussions and changing of our {my} mind, we have settled on a peach color. Tom isin Houston visiting friends for the weekend so hopefully we get back on track next week. I can't wait to see it all come together!
We'll be 30 weeks tomorrow! That means 10 more weeks. Wow! Where is the time going?

1st time blogger

I'm going to give this blog a try. I want to use to it to keep close family and friends updated on our pregnancy and on our little babe's life once he/she decides to join us.

Baby predictions: Tom and I have opposite predictions when it comes to the gender. I think it's a boy and Tom thinks it's a girl. I always thought it was silly when people said they had a feeling it was one or the other, but looks like I'm one of those silly people now. I have no reason why I think it's a boy other than a gut feeling (and I have a 50-50 chance, right).

Cravings: Nothing crazy. I've definitely got a sweet tooth, but that was there before we got pregnant. I will say that I make 5 (bite size) chocolate chip cookies everyday after lunch. That might be a little more excessive than prepregnancy :)

We are currently 29 weeks 3 days. I'm feeling great! I still mow all 6 of my lawns (small side business) and play softball. I've been trying to stay as active as possible. Tom and I got to cheer on the Royals (me) and the Twins (Tom) last week.
