It's an election year! I don't know if it is just because we are getting older, but Tom and I are really getting into the elections and candidates this year. Maybe it is due to all the media that surrounds them, that we really can't get away from it, who knows. We enjoy watching the debates together (when the candidates don't just argue with each other). Saturday was our Kansas Caucus and we were excited to walk down to the high school where one of the elections was taking place. I remember going there 4 years ago to cast my ballot. I walked right in, got my paper, check marked who I wanted, and off I went. To say this year was a little different is an understatement. Due to such a strong turnout (and some technical difficulties), Tom, Savannah, and I stood in line for two and half hours. Thank goodness it was a gorgeous day out. I even got a sun burn from standing outside so long. Savannah was a trooper!
This was right before we got to vote! Yay, the end of the line!
We've been having beautiful weather! Don't you just love spring? It is such a relief from the dark, cold days of winter. We walked to the library this morning. Savannah always seems to fall asleep right before we get home.
I am still waiting to see if Savannah is going to be a thumb sucker. She has been putting her fingers in her mouth a lot more in the past week, but she does more gnawing than she does sucking. She doesn't have any teeth YET. I have a feeling this will be happening soon.
So many toys to play with and she'd rather chew on the handle.
We took some St. Patrick's Day pictures today. Miss Savannah was more interested in the grass than smiling for me. Thank goodness I have my wonderful assistant, Tom. He always knows how to make her smile. (The quilt she is sitting on was handmade by her Auntie Maria)
What a cheeseball!
Savannah LOVES bath time! We haven't upgraded to the actual bathtub yet. The kitchen sink will have to do. She tries to grab the water, which is one of the cutest things I have ever seen!
What a fun weekend filled with laughter and love.
