Easter Bunny

I had fun playing with some Easter props this week. Of course, Savannah put those eggs right in her mouth!

This video makes me laugh everytime! Must watch it all the way through!

One of her new favorite activities is to play with the bucket that her toys are in. She doesn't care too much for the toys. She somehow manages to get it on its side and can even flip it over.
The Benedictine girls basketball team made it to the NAIA tournament so we went to two games to cheer them on. Maybe someday Savannah will follow in her parents' and grandparents' footstep and become a Raven!
She loved the game but could not sit still. Clearly we couldn't even get her to look at the camera. Too much excitement!

Today was Savannah's half birthday! I have never been one to celebrate half birthdays, but this one is special! I can't believe we have been blessed with this little girl for 6 months!!! Photos were just as tricky as every month.  Luckily Tom only worked a half day and was able to help me out.

Since she was in a good mood, I had to keep taking pictures.  I hope our next children will get this much photo attention!

Date night (late post)

I'm not sure why this didn't post originally, but this is actually from the beginning of March.

Last weekend was the Benedictine Scholarship Ball. For the first time in 5 months, we left Savannah for the entire evening and did "adult things" (and by that I meant drink, eat, and dance). We had fun with our friends, but everyone was exhausted by the end of the night and ready to go home. What happened to those nights of last call at the bar??

BC Ravens

We've been having gorgeous weather recently! Savannah loves laying in the back yard, listing to the birds, and basking in the sun.
Tom thought they could both nap outside....Savannah didn't get the memo.
First time playing in the grass. Of course she tried eating it right away.
My parents had us over for dinner on Sunday. Joan joined us too! Savannah and Joan are always sharing secrets together.
Every time I turn around, I think Savannah gets a little bigger. Love her more every day!

Stuffed Animal Friends

Savannah loves to sit up and play with her toys.

We took a walk on a beautiful Sunday afternoon! Gotta love day light savings time.  Savannah finally let me wear her in my baby carrier.  She was never a fan of it before.  I guess she just had to get a little bigger!

Playing with all of her friends

Savannah is getting so close to crawling.  She can currently scoot herself backwards.  She loves to scoot under the couch and then try to push herself up from there.

Savannah loves the library! The library by our house received a major overhaul this winter and it is awesome!

I could lay 20 toys out in front of Savannah and she will ALWAYS choose the one thing that isn't a toy (aka, my dirty shoes).

Look at those cheeks!

Saturday, we went to the Brookside St. Patrick's Day Parade.  It might have rained the entire time, but we still had a lot of fun!

Joan found Sweetie Bear in her closet and gave him to Savannah.  She said she has had Sweetie Bear since 1980! That's older than me, wow!!

Caucus

It's an election year! I don't know if it is just because we are getting older, but Tom and I are really getting into the elections and candidates this year.  Maybe it is due to all the media that surrounds them, that we really can't get away from it, who knows.  We enjoy watching the debates together (when the candidates don't just argue with each other).  Saturday was our Kansas Caucus and we were excited to walk down to the high school where one of the elections was taking place.  I remember going there 4 years ago to cast my ballot.  I walked right in, got my paper, check marked who I wanted, and off I went.  To say this year was a little different is an understatement.  Due to such a strong turnout (and some technical difficulties), Tom, Savannah, and I stood in line for two and half hours.  Thank goodness it was a gorgeous day out.  I even got a sun burn from standing outside so long.  Savannah was a trooper!
This was right before we got to vote! Yay, the end of the line!

We've been having beautiful weather! Don't you just love spring? It is such a relief from the dark, cold days of winter.  We walked to the library this morning.  Savannah always seems to fall asleep right before we get home.
I am still waiting to see if Savannah is going to be a thumb sucker.  She has been putting her fingers in her mouth a lot more in the past week, but she does more gnawing than she does sucking.  She doesn't have any teeth YET.  I have a feeling this will be happening soon.

So many toys to play with and she'd rather chew on the handle.

We took some St. Patrick's Day pictures today.  Miss Savannah was more interested in the grass than smiling for me.  Thank goodness I have my wonderful assistant, Tom.  He always knows how to make her smile.  (The quilt she is sitting on was handmade by her Auntie Maria)

What a cheeseball!

Savannah LOVES bath time!  We haven't upgraded to the actual bathtub yet.  The kitchen sink will have to do.  She tries to grab the water, which is one of the cutest things I have ever seen!

What a fun weekend filled with laughter and love.
