Minnesota Vacation

We've been home from our week vacation in Minnesota and I am just now getting around to posting these pictures.  Where did this week go?

Our week was full of family time, cards, movies, bon fires, wine slushies, cards,  boat rides, baby giggles, and cards. Did I mention cards?  I think we were there over the rainiest week this summer so we occupied our time with endless games of Wist. I even got everyone to humor me and play one round of Cranium. I love that game!  Good thing this family enjoys cards and time together :)  In all seriousness, it was wonderful to get a whole week of quality time with everyone. We are already looking forward to next summer!

Tom left work early so we could enjoy an evening with the Craigmile Crew to kick off our vacation.
We love spending time with these girls!
And their parents aren't too bad either! Why do we have to live 6 hours away from eachother!?
 Sister, Sister, Sister (in law)
Everyone had a blast at Alex and Becky's wedding.  We're looking forward to the family reunion in August!

When we arrived at our lake cabin we surprised Sarah and Tim with a 10th anniversary party.  Do they look confused?
The bride and groom - still in love!
Bridal Party - 10 Years later
Baby - Dad - Grandpa - Great Grandma
We are so blessed to spend time with Great Grandma Gen!
Celebrating Papa Jim's Birthday and father's day.
Any excuse to get an ice cream cake is fine by me!

 Nana and Savannah
Good thing we got that huge tree in the picture :)
Gotta love self timer!
Just chilling in her life jacket.
 How adorable!
We took advantage of any sunshine we could get.

Stuck inside on another rainy (chilly) day.  I packed for a hot, summer trip.  Thank goodness Maria packed extra clothes for Savannah.

One last photo shoot before we got in the car for our trek home.

 Savannah loves Brooklyn!
It's difficult to get Savannah to sit still.  She is constantly on the move!

We can't wait for our next week on the lake!

Sunday Swimming

Sundays are the best when you don't have plans.  We went to mass this morning and then just hung around the house, let Savannah play with the water in the backyard, and then went to the Downtown OP concert in the park.  The day lasts longer (in a good way) when you don't have to be a million different places.  Oh, and we got my car vacuumed out! It's nice to go to bed on Sunday feeling like you got something done and was able to spend lots of quality time with loved ones.

Gotta test the water before she gets in.
This is a trough we got from my parents.  My sister and I used to swim in it when we were Savannah's age.
 She loves the water!

Waiting for the concert to start
Thank goodness Grandpa was there to catch her.

Last picture before she goes to bed

Now for some pictures from the week.  Savannah finally liked strawberries this week.  I feel like if i keep giving her something, she will eventually like it.
She is such a dare devil...and yes, she did fall backwards after this picture.  She's tough!
Gotta check the engine on her car. Just like daddy!

Wednesday we went to a kids concert at a local shopping area.  She enjoyed all the people watching.
She is constantly pulling herself up.
 Enjoying the beautiful weather!

Pool

I couldn't upload this video yesterday for some reason.

Memorial Day: 1st day in an outdoor pool. It was a little chilly from all the rain bit that didn't seem to phase Savannah.

Memorial Weekend

After days and day of rain, the sun came out and we had a beautiful weekend!

Saturday, we went on a trolley wine tour about 40 minutes south of KC. The clouds were unbelievable! It was no Napa Valley, but Kansas wine isn't too bad.

Sunday was  spent with friends. We had everyone to our house for a day of yard games. We had 5 different games and playoff brackets for each. Tom and I (The Comeback Kids) were the overall champions of the day. It's nice to know we still got it :)
The Royals swept the White Sox so it was a good day all around. Anyone sense a theme in our attire (totally not planned)
My friend brought her daughter over for a bit.Evie is exactly 2 months older than Savannah. Savannah had to show Evie who ruled this castle by climbing all over her. I think they both enjoyed themselves.
Monday was our first outdoor pool day. Savannah still loves the water! We got to go swimming at Kaylee and Colby's neighborhood pool. We can't wait to go back!
We loved having an extra day with Tom before he left this morning for Ohio.
Happy June!!
