Tom is 30!

I love doing birthdays right! For me, it comes down to the little details.  Tom and I have really logged some quality time this weekend (one of Tom's favorite things!)

Friday was Tom's actual birthday.  We got to enjoy a relaxing morning and breakfast together before he went off to work.  Then, he surprised us by coming home for lunch.  He got to open his present with Savannah.

Savannah loved checking the mail this week.  Tom was getting special deliveries everyday!
The Craigmile girls sent Tom pictures and cards - So thoughtful!
Thank you Emma!
Tom's mom sent him a Sacramento Kings shirt - should be here any day!
I threw Tom a little back yard bash in honor of Tom's 30th!
30 candles sure light up a room!
I thought it would be funny to use Savannah's numbers to represent Tom's age. So cheesy!
We are so blessed to use "family" and "friends" interchangeably with these two.

I've been telling Tom for the past few weeks that I had a surprise birthday outing for us on Sat. night.  I asked him yesterday morning, if you could do anything in the world today, what would you do.  I kid you not, Tom's response was camping. (For the record, if I was asked the same question, that response wouldn't even be on my top 100).
When I told him that indeed we were going camping, he thought I was kidding.  Once he realized I was being serious he was super excited!
Savannah loved helping Tom set up camp.

Savannah was a rockstar camper! For the first time in...I can't even remember...Savannah slept until 6:30 without waking up during the night.  She did WAY better than her mom.  Unfortunately this "city girl" didn't do much research on campsites and we were RIGHT next to a highway.  Let's just say we heard semis hitting the rumble strips all night long.  If the noise wasn't bad enough, the RV parked behind us (with no one staying in it last night) had spot lights on it that were angled right into our tent.  There was no need for a flashlight last night.  Sleep just wasn't in the cards for me last night.  Oh well, I would much rather Savannah sleep than me!
I think Tom had a birthday weekend that he won't soon forget.  My sister is grilling steaks for him tonight, so the party will continue!

Now to catch up on the past week (or so)...

My cousin Rachael's birthday was the day before Tom's.  Savannah wanted to send her a special message!
Our pools close in a few weeks so we are trying to soak up as many rays as possible.
We love when Molly comes over for our weekly (trashy) tradition of watching The Bachelorette together.  Savannah loves Molly!
This picture doesn't do her justice.  She is growing more and more hair! Even little curls in the back.
 Such a happy little nugget.
Savannah is really into climbing on everything! We have a few bumps and bruises to prove it.

She got herself in that seat...she had to figure out how to get out.

I think she's trying to play peek - a - boo in this video.

10 months

How can 10 months go by so fast, yet I feel like I've known Savannah my whole life!?

Miss Savannah has so much personality. Her determination cracks me up. If she sees something she wants, nothing will stand in her way. She crawls and climbs over everything. She has 4 teeth. The top two are still coming in, but boy is there a big gap!! I told Tom to start saving his pennies now for braces. It's amazing how two little teeth can make her look so grown up. Where is my little baby?
Adding a 0 behind that 1 really changes things!
We enjoyed a relaxing Sunday at the lake.

Boat rides really take it out of you!
Our big 10 month old girl! 4 teeth and tons of personality!
These are pictures from Joan's 89th birthday! Joan shares all her secrets with Savannah.
89 look good on this lady!
Constant mischief around the house
Making herself comfortable at Target

Enjoying the break in humidity this morning. I love having my coffee in the backyard.
Bath time last night. She loves her baths!

Girls Trip - Atlanta

Savannah has officially taken her first "Girls' Trip".  We visited my Aunt Jacque and Uncle David in Atlanta for a week.  They have the sweetest dog, Toby.  Savannah was obsessed with Toby.  I think Toby was ready for her to go after a few days.  She has trouble being gentle.  Petting and slapping seem to be interchangeable for her.
Savannah was a rockstar traveler! Only a few outbursts on the plane.  Nothing a handful of cheerios couldn't fix!

Savannah loved to trick Toby into thinking she was sharing her snacks with him...
Then she would eat the snacks right in front of him.  What a stinker!
Savannah LOVES having her Auntie Katie home! They reconnected instantly.

This chick loves the pool!
When we were walking home from the pool, there was a real life deer in the front yard! We were in the street and it was right there! Very cool.
One night, we went to a Food Truck Alley for dinner.  As you can tell from Savannah's red cheeks, it was a bit warm.  She was a trooper though!
Savannah's new favorite thing to do it walk around the house holding your hands.  She gets quite upset if we stop and she isn't ready.  This girl wants to walk so bad!
Savannah enjoyed the trip on the Marta.
On our way home!

We can't wait to go back and visit again!

Stand up!

Savannah can now stand up on her own! She's growing too fast. This little one will be walking before long.

Happy Friday!

Independence Day

Old stuff pictures first -  I need to catch up on my posting!

Auntie Katie is finally home from Hawaii!

Now to the 4th of July!
Everyone was playing the same game and there was no one left to hold Savannah. She didn't mind getting in on the fun!

Cousins!
