11 months

I have less than one month to come to the reality that Savannah is no longer a baby.  How could one year go so fast!?

The park is finally enjoyable again! The weather has been beautiful!
It's amazing how quickly she can turn the tears on and off.
I absolutely love Savannah's curiosity.  Yes, that means she usually comes inside with dirt under her nails and sticks or leaves in her hair, but she just loves exploring! I could watch her check out the world all day.

Hanging with Aunt Katie before she went to school to practice for the CULINARY OLYMPICS! Yeah - it is kind of a big deal. She heads to Germany in October for the competition.  Luckily, we are only losing her for a few weeks and not months this time!

 We have been to the park a few times this week.  This day was a picnic.  I now know that we will never eat close to the ducks.  They slowly starting creeping in on us and I didn't like it.  I finally had to get up and shoo them away.
 I had to brag on my sister now - This morning she got Savannah out of her crib, got her changed, played with her, AND made a delicious breakfast, all while letting Tom and I get some extra sleep. This roommate thing isn't too bad.
 The chef at work!
So good! (and Savannah's scrambled eggs)

She is one solid baby! Love her!
Tonight she was playing with one of her snack containers.  She was trying to get the lid on but couldn't figure it out.  She was so cute working on it.  I think the video is 2 minutes long.  She was working on this at least 5 minutes before I started recorded.  Too Cute!

Baby Steps

There has been a lot of excitement around our house this weekend.  Savannah has loved walking around (almost running) while holding our hands.  She did not like when we would try to trick her into walking by herself.  She would just sit down and cry.  Apparently she just needed to do it on her own.  Friday, I was tutoring and Savannah came with me.  She was playing with the cat and out of no where she took three steps!!!
{This is the cat that motivated her to start moving}

Well, fast forward to Sunday and there is no stopping this girl.  She is walking everywhere.  She's taken a few tumbles but keeps on trucking.  Savannah is so determined. We love it!

Savannah loves her baby.  It is so cute to see her pat the baby and give her kisses.

It is about time Savannah does some chores around the house.
Savannah wants to be just like Aunt Katie
That little grin

Savannah's friend grow out of this car and passed it along to her.  It took her a few days to warm up to it.  I tried putting her in the seat and taking off the first day and she was not having it.  Today she finally let me push her around.  Now I can hardly get her out of it.  Everything has to be on her schedule.
We bought a blow up pool and are having too much fun with it...and we haven't even put water in it yet! We've had quite a break in the heat so the day I blew it up, I decided to just play in it.  I really enjoy relaxing outside and knowing that Savannah is contained.  I've talked Katie and Tom into joining us after dinners.  So fun!

Here are a few cute pictures I found on Tom's phone.

Family Reunion

{I started this post last week and forgot about it...oops!}

We spent most of last week in Minnesota enjoying lots of family time. We drove to Minneapolis on Tuesday night and got to spend most of Wednesday playing with the Craigmile girls. They are so fun to watch.
Coaxing Savannah to sit still is a challenge.
Savannie & Libby
Savannah is so loved!
 Wednesday-Friday we got to go camping with Tom's extended family. Savannah loved the sand! I honestly can't stand it so she's never been around it.  After seeing how much fun she had, we MIGHT find more sand to play in.
Those Minnesota Mosquitos are no joke! They just love my sweet Kansas blood. Thank goodness we don't have those here.
The Joerger women! They are so good to Savannah. Every morning of our trip, one of them would take Savannah when she woke up and let us go back to sleep. Special auntie time! Theses girls have hearts of gold!
I love watching the bond between all 4 of these people.
The camp where our family reunion took place was beautiful! It was such a fun weekend!
Monday, when we got home, Miss Evie hung out with us for 2 days while her babysitter went on vacation. Savannah and I both loved the extra company. These two would pass food back and forth during lunch and hold hands! Just the cutest.
Just an adorable bath picture to end the post!
