Video Update

I haven't uploaded videos recently.  These are some good ones from the past few months.  Enjoy!

Enjoying a special treat from Mary Grace!

This is probably one of my all time favorite videos of Savannah.  She is truly her father's daughter.  Those moves are not from her mama!

She loves her Aunt Katie

We stopped by John and Melissa's last night to visit Tom's grandma. Savannah wanted to get some quality time with Murphy.

She sings.  She dances.  She does it all.

There is no baby action over here.  Tom and I are just soaking up the final days (maybe hours) of having one kid.  We can't wait for our family to grow by one more.  It will definitely be an adjustment for Savannah to share the attention, but I know she will be fine.  She is beyond excited for this little baby to come.

Baby Any Day!

I'm due this week! I cannot believe Baby J will be here any day.  We went to the doctor this morning and unfortunately, I don't think Baby and I will be sharing a birthday, but you never know!

We started the morning with my favorite birthday tradition of breakfast picnic in front of the Christmas tree.  We jump in the car once we all wake up, swing by Starbucks for my FREE BIRTHDAY DRINK {whoop whoop}.  No coffee for me, so Tom and I shared a vanilla chai tea latte, yummy! Then we go to the Clock Tower Bakery (a delicious place near our house) and pick up a breakfast pizza.
After we enjoyed our delicious breakfast, we played 2 rounds of cribbage.  Again, this is a birthday tradition, but it was easier (and faster) before we had kids haha.  Only one peg was snapped off in the board this year haha.

We had a doc appointment this morning and then headed downtown to walk around Union Station and Crown Center (two of my favorite place in KC, especially at Christmas Time.)
{One of my favorite trees every year!}
 {Our brave little nugget riding the Christmas Train.  She wasn't sure about it at first, but then was all smiles.}
{This was our 2nd attempt at sitting on Santa's lap.  Again, no success, but still fun to see the Jolly Man one more time this year.}
 {Family Picture with Santa!}
{After visiting with Santa, we went outside to play}
{Last night we enjoyed our yearly dinner at Dragon Inn.}
 {Yes, we wore our Christmas sweaters to dinner.  Thank goodness Tom is such a trooper and goes along with the crazy ideas my family comes up with. Please notice Savannah - always putting her own spin on things.}
 {Savannah sure loves Katie.}
 {I can't believe in a few days, we could both be holding a kid!}

So that is the update on the last few days, and now I guess I am just going to work backwards to where I left off with the last post.  I have really got to stay on top of this.

{Here is a three week Baby Bump progression.}

{Slowly trying to brainwash our daughter.  We know where her true loyalty lies}
 {Enjoying a fun park date last weekend}
 {Bedhead}
 {I think Savannah senses the changes that are coming - we obviously talk about the baby a lot- but she is constantly wanting to snuggle with both of us.  Group hugs are a daily.  She just loves to be in the middle of us.}
 {Some college friends of ours had a baby and Savannah was such a little baby hog.  She couldn't wait to hold her.}
{Savannah hung out with my mom for a few hours so I could clean Joan's house last week.  They watched Polar Express in 3D and Savannah really enjoyed it.  Doesn't she look comfortable?}
 {Christmas Cookies never end! Savannah loved frosting the cookies and it never hurts to take a little lick here and there.}

For 50 years, Johnny's Space Age Donuts have been a staple in Overland Park.  They've been a part of my entire 29 years of existence. I've never been a huge donut person (unlike my sister) but these couldn't be topped.  They were pretty much the only donuts I would eat.  They had an applesauce donut that was out of this world!
My parents are regulars and get the exact same order every Sunday after 7:00 mass.  When my mom walks in, they start making her bag before she even has to order.  Two weekends ago, one of the workers whispered to her that the owners were retiring and the shop would be closing.  Little did we know, they would be closing the very next week!!
Katie convinced me it would be a good idea to wake up at 5:30 so we could get in line to get our last box of the world's best donuts.  I am so glad I did it because it was such a fun experience.  It was sweet to hear people's stories of the place and then get to watch the owners and workers say their goodbyes to people they had come to see every week (some people every day).
Thanks for the memories Johnny!!
We sat at the counter once last time to enjoy the view!
 Enjoying their last bite of deliciousness!!
 Savannah had even become quite a fan of these donuts.  She and Katie had a few donut dates there.
 Snuggles with her buddy!
Reading to her little buddy before nap time.
 Two hats - she totally insisted!
 More group hugs and snuggles.  She loves all the attention.  Let's hope she can figure out how to share the attention soon!
 Our first attempt at visiting Santa.  She was good as long as she was on my lap.
 Trying to make friends.

 Lunch at the Fritz's, the train restaurant.
 Taking advantage of Katie tagging along and getting some family pictures for us.
 We kept telling Savannah to open her eyes when she was smiling.  This was the result haha
 So much sass!
 Impromptu Christmas Light watching.  We knew we weren't going to make it back in time for dinner, so we swung by McDonald's for a little treat.  (I didn't mind, especially since I have craved their fries this entire pregnancy.)
 Daddy's little helper! She was so proud to help paint the baby's room.  Every time we walk by, she wants to show off where she painted. Love her little helpful heart.

I think that catches me up on pictures for a bit.  Depending on this new baby's arrival, my next post might have cute baby pics!

Where did November go!?

I haven't updated this in a month!? What?? Time is seriously flying by right now.  Maybe it's because I am chasing a 2 year old, maybe because I am in my 9th month of pregnancy, maybe it is the holidays...who knows!

November has been a bit crazy for us with all the activities and trips.  Tom went to Minnesota for deer hunting.  Then I went to the Ozarks for a girls weekend of cards and shopping. The next weekend Tom was gone again in St. Louis for a wedding.  Just when you think the traveling is over, it's Thanksgiving so Tom and Savannah left me by my lonesome to celebrate in Minnesota.  To say that Tom and I have suffered in our quality time spent together would be an understatement.  I am definitely looking forward to life slowing down a bit once this little babe makes his or her appearance.  Tom gets two weeks off and I couldn't be more excited to have him home with us.

Enjoy these pictures from the last month!

Savannah enjoys long walks with her baby and stroller
 This girl has a mind of her own.  She has strong opinions and will let you know.  Some days she is NOT into pictures.

 We met up with friends at the Deanna Rose pumpkin patch.  Savannah clearly wanted nothing to do with a group picture.
 Savannah looks forward to my doctor appointments.  She likes giving each other check ups before the doctor comes in.
I also have the best doctor ever! She lets Savannah measure my belly, use all her fun gadgets and keeps her entertained while we are there.
 Savannah definitely knows the key to getting me to let her watch TV.  "Want to snuggle momma?" She knows I can't resist a good snuggle with her.
 Our Annual LaNoue Family Halloween Party was another success.  I know I am biased but I think Tom and Savannah should have won the costume contest.  I guess we have next year!
 Gumball machine and Synchronized Swimmer
Family Picture - Mom was a Christmas tree and Dad was Charlie Brown from "The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown"
 Curious George and Elsa

 The whole LaNoue Family
The competition was fierce this year.  Everyone did a great job on costumes.
 Cousins

 Enjoying documenting this growing belly.
(I am pretty sure this is the last one we took.  We have missed a few weeks, oops!)
 Taking advantage of the last days of Halloween.
 Cleaning out the pumpkin with Grandma.
 My sister had her annual BYOP (bring your own pumpkin)
She started this tradition back in high school and we haven't missed a year yet.  This was a small year but always fun! I was excited to have Savannah join in on the carving tradition.
(Se had to squat down in the picture because I was doing that.  Little copy cat.)
 Hanging out with her buddy.  She is obsessed with Ean.  He can push her to the ground and she laughs.  He can do no wrong in her eyes!
 My little monkey
 We did some early trick or treating at Joan's house. It's always fun when we are together!
 We were getting ready to head out to run errands and Savannah said she needed to get something.  Nothing like bringing 2 dolls, a water bottle, and her mini pumpkin with us.
 My favorite people - Tom took her trick or treating while I stayed home and passed out candy.
It was fun to see them together.  I always get to do the fun stuff with her since I am home all day.  I was glad they could enjoy this father/daughter time.

 Savannah discovered painting and asks to do it everyday! I love her creative side.
 Different day, same activity.
 This made me laugh.  Savannah and I were talking about what we were thankful for.  I asked her what makes her heart happy and she said mom and dad right away (yay!) I added "Savannah".  Then she remembered her friend Evie, but what got me was what she said next.
"Fruit snacks."
That's what makes her heart happy.  Oh goodness!! She cracks me up.
 I made it through the entire fall softball season!  I definitely didn't think I would make it, but I did.
 The past two seasons, we have met the same team in the championship and lost both times.
The fall season was no different.  We met our same opponents, but this time we were victorious!!!
Seal Team Sticks are #1 again!
(Please notice how everyone is dressed for the terribly cold weather we had, and then there is Tom...in shorts. He's nuts!)
 Savannah and I were near Tom's office one morning so we stopped by and dropped off a drink for me.  He's always so proud to show off his little girl.
 Tom's Aunt Rita made Savannah this adorable tutu.  She puts this on all the time and loves to pretend she is a ballerina.
 We were shopping at Michaels and Savannah was so excited to see Santa.
 Buddies!
 Helping me rake leaves.
 Savannah spent the morning with a friend while I went to visit another friend who just had a baby.  She loves spending time with Lindsey because they go to Target and get treats.
 Playing the piano with Anna, my cousin's daughter.
Anna passes her clothes down to Savannah when she out grows them.  The girls were so excited to have a fashion show with as many articles of clothing they could put on.
(Savannah has two skirts UNDER the dress she is wearing haha)
Thank goodness for technology so I could me baby while she was in Minnesota for thanksgiving.
I hear that these two got along really well over Thanksgiving.  Yay!

Sand.
I can't stand it.
Normally I avoid it at all costs.  Savannah has probably played in it three times in her life.
Monday we went to a new park.  She saw the sand and I couldn't tell her no.  I knew it was going to be the last nice day for a very long time.  We've been having an abnormally warm November.
It was 68 degrees in the afternoon.
In celebration of the beautiful weather and the coldness to come, I let her play in the sand.
She loved it.

She enjoys having ornament scavenger hunts.
My little dinner helper.  She always wants to stand next to me and be involved in all the cooking!

Ok that was a lot in one post.  Sorry if you had to take a break in the middle.  I will try to stay on  top of this now, but let's be serious...this baby is coming soon so that probably won't happen.

I hope you all had a blessed Thanksgiving and enjoy the upcoming Advent season.
