Random videos

I haven't found a few minutes recently to update this, so here's some videos for your viewing pleasure!

Savannah got some new Pj's and Tom was trying to get her to show them off.

Family Tree Nursery had animals in the store a few weekends ago. Savannah and I went to check them out while Tom was mowing someone's lawn.

Last but not least, little Miss Savannah watching her dad work on the yard.

Sick Baby

Our week started on a rather low note.  Monday afternoon, Savannah started running a temperature and it was just getting higher and higher.  I know she isn't feeling well when she actually slows down long enough to snuggle with me.  Then, she actually fell asleep on me.  This NEVER happens.  Poor thing!
By Tuesday, her fever was gone but she was still a little lethargic.
 Thank goodness she can't reach the lock yet because she is constantly trying to open the door.
 Back at Christmas, my dad gave Savannah his old cell phone.  She found it this week and loves pretending like she has a phone.
 Having fun with Grandma and Grandpa
 Playing with grandpa's headphones.

Savannah loves toasting her own waffle.  I let her get on the counter and she opens the toaster, puts the waffle in, closes it and hits the button.  Then she (some times patiently, other times not) waits for the "ding" of the toaster.  I am amazed by her independence.
Savannah's vocabulary is expanding faster than I can handle! I love hearing her repeat after us!
There is never a dull moment while we hang out at Joan's house. We love our afternoons spent over there.

Happy St. Patrick's day!

50th and 93rd Birthday

Last Saturday we got to celebrate Tom's uncle's 50th birthday.  John loved the 80's so we got to throw it back for a fun theme party.  Some of Tom's family traveled in for the party.  It was wonderful to catch up with everyone!

{Isn't he cute!?}

 {Kaylee, Baby Rieke, and the hostess with the mostess.  Melissa threw a wonderful party!}

{This is a throwback picture from New Years Eve 2013.  I'm glad I've been able to put that jump suit to good use a few times! Katie was really working that "career woman" look}

Savannah has been a stage 9 clinger that last few days (weeks? I don't know, I am losing track!)
She has been teething something fierce and has been a total mess (am I being dramatic? I don't think so!) I dropped her off at the gym child care and she was crying when I left and crying when I picked her up.  The child care lady claimed Savannah had a good time, but I think she was just being nice.  Either way, I appreciate the hour to myself.

 {Sometimes her "cheeeeese" gets a little scary}

{Reading in her desk}

{Park Time!!}

Sunday, my grandma celebrated her 93rd birthday.  We took her out for pizza on Monday, seeing as she had lots of people who wanted to celebrate with her all weekend.  Cheers to 93!
{not the best picture.  Gotta take what we can get with wild Savannah}

Wednesday, a friend asked if we wanted to go to the zoo with her and her 2 kids.  We jumped all over that offer!! She is a "friend of the zoo" so we get to go as her guests.  It's always nice when your friends have the hook up!

This was Savannah's first time at the zoo.  She loves animals so I thought she would go crazy when she saw them all.  She was way more reserved than I thought she would be, but you could tell she loved it.  She was so interested in everything we saw.

{Penguins}
 {Gorilla, my favorite}

{Why won't you wear bows longer than 3 seconds!?}

{Savannah likes that she gets to eat banana's with the peel on.  She loves peeling it off!}
 {Getting some bible reading in}

{She graduated to getting cereal and milk in the bowl!}

 {My friend, Jennifer (middle) is moving to Alaska, again! A few years ago, her job sent her to chilly Alaska for a project.  She's been home for a while, but her heart was still in Alaska.  Congrats on the new job and new adventures! I hope to visit someday!!}

 {Sat morning cartoons, Minnie Mouse, of course.  She looks just like my sister when she watches TV.  Neither of them know there is a world around them when they are zoned in.  Luckily, Savannah's attention span is short and she gets bored with the TV after a while.}

{Playing with a pair of Papa Jim's old glasses.}

Pipes are fixed!

All is well that ends well, right?

Our pipe is fixed. We can shower and do dishes again. Hallelujah!

Turns out Google tore right through our pipes while installing theirs. We still need to finalize the details with their insurance, but it appears that our emergency fund will get to stay in the bank. Thank goodness!

 We had to keep our eye on all the commotion in the front yard. Savannah was quite interested.
 Bubbles after story time at the library.
Savannah knows how to put her hands in her pockets now. I don't know why, but this cracked me up!
 Recently, when I ask Savannah to take a picture with me, I get this face. What a goon!
 This kid doesn't need toys.
 She looks like a little old Grammy watching  her Minnie Mouse cartoons.
Savannah loves putting her baby to bed
 Working on our dental skills at the library.
 I made no bake cookies during nap yesterday. She spied them on the counter this morning and I said she could have one after lunch. That little stinker remembered and wanted her cookie after she finished her PBJ. A girl after my own heart.
Checking out the ducks at the park this afternoon. I'm always slightly worried their going to snap and come attack us.
