Weekend Review

This past weekend was wonderful because we didn't have any big events.  We were able to enjoy our days as they came.  Saturday morning started out with block building for Savannah and Tom.  I love when these two get some quality time together.  Tom is great at jumping right in with her.

Tom and some friends took advantage of our beautiful weather and went golfing while Savannah and I attempted to go garage sale hunting.
Note to self: Don't take a child who is in a car seat if you don't have a buddy along.  We both lost our gusto after a few bum sales and pulling Savannah in and out of her car seat.  I didn't buy anything.

After nap time, we went to visit Great Grandma Joerger who is staying with John and Melissa.  Savannah loves playing with all the kids old baby dolls and strollers.
Madeline was getting ready for prom so we got a sneak peak of her beautiful dress!
Then we met up at Kaylee and Colby's for some pizza and good company.
Tom had softball games on Sunday so Savannah and I went to watch him play after church.  The weather was beautiful.
After nap time, we went back to the Joerger's to visit Tom's grandma again.  She's only in town so often, so we really want to take advantage of time with her.

We went to one of our favorite Chinese restaurants last night for the best fried rice.  Savannah helped Tom blow on her food to cool it off. She is such a ham.

I am looking forward to a crazy busy, but super exciting week, as my best friend gets married this weekend! We cannot wait to celebrate with Molly & Marty!!! Savannah gets to put her flower girl skills to use.  Prayers that she makes it down the aisle haha

Birthday, baseball, and friends

Sarah celebrated her birthday last week! Savannah is getting better and better at "Happy Birthday"

Chalk Time is a favorite activity after lunch time, nap, or anytime really.

 Park Time
Wednesday we went to watch our friend play baseball.  Savannah got to take her cell phone and appeared to be on some very long, very serious business calls.

Enjoying her dinner at the ball park
 Serious Savannah
Friday, we got to watch our friend Evie for the day.  We walked to the park in the morning to burn off some energy.  Unfortunately, our warm weather went away for the day.

Enjoying their snack in the front yard
Our neighbor hasn't raked his leaves since the fall, so this provided some great entertainment for the girls.  (Notice the grassed doesn't seem to get mowed either.  Thank goodness for our fence so we don't have to see that.)
The highlight of Savannah's day is when she gets in Tom's car once her gets home.

Deanna Rose Farmstead

This little Minnie Mouse lover enjoyed a beautiful day at the park.
I love this park because there is a path that goes around the lake.  I was able to run a few laps with Savannah and then she got to play on the slide and playground.
Thank goodness for hand-me-down clothes.  Everything you will see Savannah wearing in the future was graciously given to us by my cousin.  Savannah was happy that Anna loves Minnie as much as she does!

Tuesday, we went to Deanna Rose Farmstead.  It is a wonderful place where they have animals that the kids can pet and feed.  There are also amazing playgrounds scattered around the property.  We enjoyed the zoo when we went a few months ago, but this was way better! Savannah loved being close to the animals.
 Checking out the ducks

 Hi Pony!

Savannah thought the goats were hilarious.  They would nibble on her fingers and it didn't bother her one bit.  (oh yes, there was plenty of hand sanitzer used this day!)

 Walking through the Butterfly Garden

Savannah liked to test out all the swinging benches.
We will definitely be making this a weekly outing this summer!

Easter Weekend

Thank goodness for Kaylee! Who else would I ask all my medical questions to? She's the best! On Good Friday, we got to visit Kaylee at work and deliver a special Easter picture that Savannah made for her and Colby.

The last few times we have seen Kaylee has been during the day, so Colby has been at work.  Now, anytime I say "Kaylee", Savannah follows it up with "Colby, work."
Our church had a 3:00 service on Friday so we were able to attend mass as a family.  Savannah struggled with the up and down petitions and the length of mass, but over all, we all survived.

This is Saturday at the first Farmer's Market of the season. (Yes, Savannah is wearing the same dress.  She saw it hanging in her room and insisted on wearing it again.  Who am I to stop her!?)
Family Time at the Farmer's Market!
After the Market, we went to pick up all our herbs and veggies we want for the garden.  Tom worked really hard to get everything planted.  Can't wait to enjoy the fruits (and vegetables) of his labor!
 Our little helper
Easter Sunday - We were going to go to our church at 9, but at the last minute we decided to go with my parents to ensure we had more down time and weren't running around like crazy after church.
7 am mass comes really early haha.

It worked out that we went early and had to wake Savannah up because she was then ready for her nap earlier.  All her egg hunting must have worn her out because she dominated her nap!
 Love these two goofballs!
 My People

Savannah enjoyed opening the eggs to see what treats grandma stuffed them with.  Grapes were a hit.  Cheese Puffs could probably be skipped next year.

 Stealing grandpa's chair and paper.
Our resident chef, hard at work.
The many faces of Savannah.  Sometimes I just want one good one.  Oh well!
 Anyone want to play badminton?
My aunt always organizes fun games for us to play at holidays.
Tossing eggs into our baskets was just one of the fun games.
 My Family

I hope every had a Christ centered Easter and enjoyed time with family!

Dying Easter Eggs

I love dying eggs!
I don't think I've ever missed a year.
Savannah definetly adds a bit chaos, but we enjoyed the newest addition to our tradition.

She spilled the blue everywhere.  Thank goodness we were outside.
And then she crushed the egg.
Grandpa started attacking her with stickers.

Tom came home just in time to get a few colored for himself.  He's a pro!

These next pictures crack me up.

Time to get Katie!!
