Father's Day Fun

Father's day weekend was full of family and fun.

Tom has been incredibly busy at work, so it was fun to have a whole weekend of quality time.

We started the weekend off with a children's performance of the Kansas City Symphony.  It was called a "Brass Bash".  5 of the talented brass players came and played songs that the kids all knew.  Then they each talked about their instrument and at the end, the kids got to play with all the instruments.

The Kauffman Center has the most beautiful view of our favorite city!

We got to sit on the stage during the performance.  First and only time i'll probably be ON the stage.
Their bond is like no other.  There are always laughs between these two goofballs.
We walked around Crown Center and went outside to check out the fountains.
 Lunch at Fritz's.

There is a train that drives around the top of the room and it delivers your meal to you.  Savannah got a kick out of using the phone at our table to place our order.

On Sunday, we met my parents at 7:00 mass and then enjoyed a delicious breakfast at their house.

Tom had softball games during nap time, so he went out into the heat while we slept and hung out at the house.

Dinner was at our favorite Mexican restaurant, Mi Ranchito.
Tom even got a margarita to celebrate his special day!

After dinner, we enjoyed some delicious ice cream cake.  No holiday would be complete without DQ!
Savannah is definitely taking after her dad in the ice cream department.
