Labor Day Weekend

We had another sonogram at 24 weeks.  It was so much fun to see how much our little one has grown in just 4 weeks.  That little nose is so cute! Reminds me of Savannah.
Any guesses on gender? Savannah is all girl, all day.
I am just assuming it will be a girl but would be thrilled either way.
Can't wait to find out!
We got new carpet in the basement a few weeks back.  The excitement still hasn't worn off for Savannah.  If I need to go to the basement to do laundry, I just ask Savannah if she wants to see the new carpet and she giggles with excitement! Yay for carpet angels!

Savannah still loves to pile books in her chair and flip through each one.
Hanging out at the "Bumblebee Park".  Daddy wanted to get in on the fun.

Tom was sweet enough to suggest that I get a pedicure over Labor Day so he and Savannah hung around this area while I got some pampering.
Savannah loved matching the dominoes together.
PS - right after I got my nails done, the first thing Savannah did was step right on my big toe.  Needless to say, my perfect toes lasted all of 10 minutes haha.  Good thing I can't stay mad at that little lady too long.

We've been trying to document this pregnancy a little more than we did with Savannah.
My belly is g-r-o-w-i-n-g!
Tom the tool man to the rescue.  Our friend's couch has been broken for months, so Tom took it upon himself to get the tools out and take care of business.  Savannah made the job just a bit more challenging.
My cousin had a cookout for Labor day.  We stopped by for a quick visit and Savannah even got to nab a load of banana bread.
Our little baker! Waffles are becoming a staple in this house.
The Monday of Labor Day weekend was our last pool day.  We had hot hot hot weather and then Tuesday rolled in and it felt officially like fall.  It's warmed back up since, but I think our pool days are behind us.
We went back to the sunflower fields again this year.  Tom has been too busy with work to make it in the morning, so we went with some friends.
Savannah was a bit more interested in the dirt than the beauty of the flowers.
 How beautiful is God's creation!?

 More fun in the dirt

Somedays I need to get some laundry done so Curious George on the ipad will give me 25 minutes to get that done.  I'll take it!
Pen? Paper? Now she's busy, at least for 5 minutes.
 Snuggling with Dad after work.

Our church had a Fun Fair last weekend.  Savannah enjoyed the cookie that came with her dinner.  She wasn't too sure about the bounce house at first, but after a while, she was a jumping fool

Our mom's group had a table of cotton candy, pop corn, and shaved ice.  I guess I drew the short stick and was in charge of the cotton candy.  I wish I had a picture of myself after my shirt.  Just imagine blue and pink dried sugar and cotton candy all over my face, in my hair, and up my arms.  It was messy, but fun to see all the families.
(When I took a shower that night, it was like I had paid for an expensive sugar scrub on my arms hah)
We went to the annual Spinach Festival last weekend.

I'm not sure what has been getting into Savannah, but she is back into the stage of biting and putting everything in her mouth! A tree!? Really?? Leave it to her father to take a picture of this instead of stepping in to stop it.  My crazy family!
A college friend and his daughter met up with us.  The girls enjoyed their time together.
10 years ago, our pictures looked slightly different.
Tom's cousin, Kim, flew down to visit us over the weekend.  We enjoyed a simple weekend filled with park time and lots of games.
