Madison Genevieve Joerger

Wednesday, December 27 - My alarm went off at 5:30 - - - The start of one of the best days ever!!
We were 5 days overdue with our little nugget and were going in to be induced at 7 am.  This was going to be a very different experience than we had with Savannah.  I didn't know what to expect. I wasn't sure if I would get right in, or if other women, who were actually in labor, would get to go ahead of me.  I was also mentally preparing myself that it could be an incredibly slow process.

When we arrived, we went straight to the labor and delivery room and I was hooked up to the machines.  My doctor stopped by and broke my water around 8:00.  From there, Tom and I attempted to watch a movie ("Fences" - I don't recommend it at all) while the nurses would come in often to increase my Pitocin.

Around 11:30 (while Tom ran home to get some lunch) I got my epidural and things started moving from there.  At 1:41 pm, after a handful of pushes, Madison Genevieve Joerger made her grand appearance.  She came into the world using the wonderful lungs God gave her.  She just wanted to make sure we all knew they were working.
Pure Joy!
My 9 pound 7 ounce lady! I was completely shocked at her size.  I had been telling Tom that I thought she would be smaller than Savannah because she moved SO MUCH even up to the end.

 The proud big sister.

This is one of my all time favorite videos.  I just love her sweet voice.
